Megan is based in Gilroy, training out of the beautiful WoodMyst Farms. The farm boasts a covered arena with mirrors, a full sized dressage court, two jumping arenas, three round pens (including a covered, all weather round pen), and excellent footing. Several arenas and round pens have lights, as well as the cross ties, for riders who need to ride after dark. The care is impeccable, with top quality hay, large paddocks, and ample turnout space, including three grass turnouts.
In addition to WoodMyst, Megan teaches regularly at other barns, she frequents the Saratoga and Portola Valley areas and is happy to discuss travelling to additional barns in the bay area. Megan also travels monthly to Kingsview Equestrian Center in Woodland for clinics. If you are interested in scheduling a clinic with Megan in any location, please contact her.
While Megan loves to ride, her favorite part of dressage is teaching. Megan's students have been successful in both dressage and eventing, as well as in pony club through the national levels.
Megan is happy to teach riders of all levels and ambitions, from beginners through the FEI levels and from pleasure riders looking to improve their horse's balance and fitness to competitors looking to earn medals and improve scores.
Megan enjoys traveling and is available for clinics in any location. Megan requires a minimum of 5 lessons for locations more than an hour away from San Jose and her travel fee per lesson is $1 per mile (one direction) divided by 5; e.g. clinics that are 100 miles away, add $20/rider.
Megan is also happy to conduct pony club ratings, teach pony club lessons, and do rating preparation clinics. Please inquire about her reduced pony club rate and waived travel fee.
Megan is now offering additional services for horses receiving training rides. Please consult your vet before requesting these services.
